 | All day we've been gathering new information about Battlefield 3 and by now we have found out a lot and are willing to share. From a double XP event to a so far still secret DLC, which will supposedly be released next year, we've got it all. |
We want to start this news with the announcement of a double xp-weekend for Battlefield 3, at which you will gain double the amount of points. So far only known across Call of Duty or Battlefield Play4Free, this event starts on Saturday the 26. May at 10:01AM German time and ends on Monday, 27. May at 9:59AM German time. The event is only available for the PC platform, since the event was already held for console players on May 12. 2012. |
| Close Quarters DLC Release Date |
| We continue with information about the first of the 3 coming DLCs for Battlefield 3, "Close Quarters". We have talked about it multiple times before and provided you lots of pictures and videos. However, so far no one knew when it would be released. Fortunately our friends over at battlefieldo.com announced that it's going to be released on 12. June, 2012. |

| This leads us directly to our next topic, since more information about Close Quarters has been revealed. On 4. June 2012 a Battlefield Premium content drop is supposdely on its way, which includes some new weapon-skins and dog tags, as well as new camos, assignments and more. Battlefield Premium can be compared to Call of Duty's ELITE, which is a payable service. |
| Strategy Guide is supposed to help players! |
| Additionally in June 2012, a strategy guide is to be released for Battlefield 3, which us supposed to help players still having problems on the Battlefield. |
| Bonus Content in August |
| Our colleagues also find out that in this August a Bonus Content was announced, to which not much information is known yet. According to rumors it could be a mappack for the main game. |

| Secret DLC in March 2013? |
| If you give these informations any credibility, a new DLC is in the plannings for March 2013, which is still top secret. There is no information known yet. |
| How much truth is in all this speculation we can't really tell you, especially considering that no official information is announced yet by DICe or EA. Only the double XP-weekend ist officially confirmed and we will of course try to gather more official information. |
